Intel revoit ses objectifs
Intel a mis en ligne sa dernière "roadmap" :
Servers and workstations :
- Tualatin 512KB DP - 1,13 GHz model to be release by the end of June. 1.26GHz version shipment start in the beginning of July.
- Intel Pentium III Xeon DP (different models for ServerWorks HE-SL, ServerWorks LE-3 chipsets with 1.10 - 1.15V core voltage, .13 micron, 512MB cache, 133MHz FSB) will appear in Q4'01;
- Intel Xeon MP (with 1MB L3 cache for 8-way systems and with 512KB on-die L3 cache for 4-way systems; at 1.6GHz+) - Q1'02
- 64-bit solutions - Itanium/Intel 460GX (2MB/4MB L3 cache) should start to appear in Q1'01. McKinley/Intel 870 pilot run at the end of 2001, appearance in real systems - Q2/Q3'02.
- Prestonia/Plumas platform (NetBurst micro-architecture, DDR support, ECC, hot-plug PCI) scheduled for 2002: 2.20GHz CPU in Q1'02; 2.40GHz in Q2'02.
- Later in Q3'02 Tualatin DP platform should be replaced with Northwood/Plumas LE.
- Gallatin, targeted to replace Intel Xeon MP, should come in Q4'02.
Desktop :
- transition to i850 based mPGA478 socket platforms prior to Northwood
- Brookdale DDR platforms will appear in Q1'02
- Tulloch based systems will appear in mid'02
- Brookdale-G with integrated graphics as P4 platform for corporate market will appear in mid'02
- 815G/EG and 810E/E2 chipsets will support 0.13 micron Celeron CPUs in Q1'02 processors
- Tualatin 256KB will be branded as a Pentium III
- 1.13GHz Pentium III (Tualatin) will be available in July (1.20GHz and 1.13GHz shipments to OEMs will start in June)
- 1.13GHz Pentium III (Coppermine) removed from the roadmap
- Added 1.10GHz and 1GHz Pentium III with 100MHz FSB (available in June)
- 1.30GHz Pentium4 removed from the roadmap in Q3'01
Mobile :
- Low voltage (LV) 750MHz Mobile Pentium III in the end of May
- 1.13GHz, 1.06GHz, 1GHz, 933MHz and 866MHz mobile Pentium III on Tualatin core in July
- i830 chipset (М, МР and МG versions) to dominate at this segment and Brookdale M to appear in Q1/Q2'02.
- Mobile Celeron will be upgraded to 800MHz by the end of May, 850MHz version scheduled for the beginning of July.
- Low voltage (LV) and ultra low voltage (ULV) Mobile Celeron processors at 600MHz will appear in the end of May
